The rug is a strange material that doesn't absorb any liquid and cleans spills super easy! Unfortunately you can't hoover it due to it being so dense a material! Is so frustrating! Crumbs just move about. I have tried opening the vents on the hoover head to allow more air to pass through but this doesn't work either. Nightmare!!

The Surya Kyoto Abstract Rug was delivered rolled up and sealed in a plastic covering wwith end net caps, which assisted in transportation and protection. When unwrapped and unrolled for use in the bedroom, it certainly had the contemporary look, but the pattern was a little ‘streaky’ if that can be applied to a rug, I would prefer it a little more filled with the black rather than being so patchy. It is also very thin as far as rugs go and we have a few around the house. We had it down for 3 days, but I could not get it to stay flat or stay put, put tended to inch this way or that as we walked on it so I was constantly adjusting it , which was driving me mad. I even tried some double sided tape but after the third day it began to move again and I gave up. The rug is a modern design, however it is thin / low pile and it walks like nothing I’ve had before – we’ve now placed it in the utility room and I’ve stuck it down onto the laminate with some strong 3M tape which seems to be holding. It wasn’t where we envisaged it, but it has helped against the cold floor this winter.
